Job Positions and Salaries
Reservation Officer: You will process all reservation requests, changes and cancellations received by phone, fax or mail. You will need to identify guest reservation needs and determine the appropriate room type. You will explain warranties, special rates, and cancellation policies to callers.
Advice: You will assist staff to expedite problematic payments. You will follow the guests about the satisfaction of the guests. You will handle all guest check-in by confirming reservations, allocating rooms, and issuing and activating room keys.
Food and Beverage Attendant: You will store all reusable products, disassemble products, clean all equipment and areas, return equipment to appropriate locations, lock refrigerators, restock supplies, turn off lights, lock doors, and complete a daily cleaning checklist. You will set up, stock and maintain workspaces. You will check the cleanliness and presentation of all china, glass and silver before use.
Lifeguard: You will observe the swimming area for dangerous conditions, unusual or unsafe activities, and struggling swimmers. You will use appropriate rescue techniques if you observe swimmers who need assistance.
Prerequisite: Completion of safety training and certifications.
Restaurant Assistant Manager: You will be responsible for the daily shift operations of the bar/lounge and the supervision of the staff. You will help promote lounge and menu planning. You will strive to ensure guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget.
Prerequisite: High school diploma or GED plus 4 years of food and beverage experience OR 2 years of diploma from an accredited university in the relevant major plus 2 years of food and beverage experience.
Westin Hotels Interview
The interview process consists of two parts. The first part is a group interview where they ask you general questions about yourself, your previous jobs, availability, and past guest service experience. They may also present you with some scenarios and ask how you would handle this type of situation. If you perform well, you will be recalled for the second part. This may take a week or two. They will ask you to bring your documents and fill out some documents. You will watch an orientation video about the company’s customer service policy.
