Azerbaijani athletes to compete for World Championship medals in acrobatic gymnastics [PHOTO]

The last day of the competitions of the 28th World Acrobatic Gymnastics Championship will be held on 13 March at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku. Flow reports.

Today will be the final of the balance exercise between men’s and mixed couples, and the finale of the tempo workout between women’s pairs, men’s and women’s groups. The final match will start at 16:00.

In the finals of the balance work between men’s pairs, representatives of Azerbaijan will compete for the medal – duet Daniel Abbasov and Murad Rafiyev. Competitors in the final are representatives from the USA, Kazakhstan, Portugal, Germany and Uzbekistan.

Also today, Azerbaijani mixed duo Agasif Rahimov and Raziya Seyidli will take the stage in the final of the balance exercise. The rivals in the final are the doubles from Portugal, Israel, Germany, England and Belgium.

Currently, the Azerbaijani team has three medals at the World Championships – the “silver” won by Agsif Rahimov and Razia Seidli, and the two “bronze” medals brought by Daniel Abbasov and Murad Rafiyev.

The 28th World Acrobatic Gymnastics Championship will be held in Baku National Gymnastics Arena on 10-13 March. 170 gymnasts from 17 countries of the world participate in the championship.

In competitions, gymnasts offer balance, tempo and combined exercises in women’s, mixed and men’s pairs, women’s and men’s groups.
