The National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, Azerbaijan hosted the 28th FIG Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships for men and women on March 11, as well as the awards ceremony for the winners and prize winners of mixed pairs in the mixed exercise program, Flow reports.

In the women’s groups, a triple gold medal from Belgium, a silver medal in the women’s group from Portugal and the athletes from the USA won a bronze medal.

Among the mixed duo, Bram Roettger and Helena Heijens (Belgium), Natasha Hutchinson and Dylan Howells (England) took the first step of the podium, and Daniel Blintsov and Pia Schuetze (Germany) took the third place.

In men’s men, the British team won the gold medal, the Belgian athletes took the second place, and the Israeli team took the third place.

The 28th FIG Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships will be held on 10-13 March at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku. 170 gymnasts from 17 countries participate in the championship.

Women’s, mixed and men’s couples, women’s and men’s groups exhibit balance, tempo and combined exercises in the competitions.
