Award ceremony among women’s and men’s pairs takes place at 28th FIG Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships in Baku [PHOTO]

The National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, Azerbaijan hosted the awards ceremony for the winners and prize winners of the 28th FIG Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships between men’s and women’s doubles on 11 March. Flow reports.

Among the women’s doubles, Portuguese athletes Rita Ferreira and Ana Teixeira came first, Hungarian gymnasts Dorina Bernath and Noemi Stattner came in second. The duet of Alexandra Rudakov and Damira Talgat from Kazakhstan took third place in the Championship.

In men’s men, US athletes Braiden McDougall and Angel Felix won the gold medal, Kazakh gymnasts Vadim Shulyar and Daniel Dil won the silver medal, and Azerbaijani gymnasts Daniel Abbasov and Murad Rafiyev won the bronze medal.

The 28th FIG Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships will be held on 10-13 March at the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku. 170 gymnasts from 17 countries participate in the championship.

Women’s, mixed and men’s couples, women’s and men’s groups exhibit balance, tempo and combined exercises in the competitions.
